A peek behind the library
Behind the scenes, there’s a heck of a lot going on! Our volunteers are busy researching the best toys for different developmental stages and types of play, working with reputable suppliers, and then selecting toys for durability and safety.
After they’ve been purchased and shipped, each toy is prepped for borrowing — entered into our database, and then each removable piece is counted, catalogued and labelled, before everything is securely packaged up, ready for easy storage and borrowing. Yes, there’s a bit to it!
We’re working hard to grow the collection as quickly (and thoughtfully) as we can.
